Heartfailure BY ARIA ARUGULA

JF: I asked you to pick three of your favorite photos. I will show you each one by one, please tell me about each, how you feel about them and why it is your favorite.

[What is Real?]

AR: That is one of my favorites. I feel like this is where we are headed in our society. It is maddening to think about; virtual life is exciting, don’t get me wrong, but it is also addicting and I think it will ultimately steal our souls. We won’t be able to disconnect from it because there will be nothing in our reality worth coming back to. In that image, suicide is the only way out, it is a

really sad picture. We essentially destroy ourselves on the outside and on the inside.

JF: [Heartfailure]

AR: This one expresses the deep sadness I have in my heart regarding life in general, and my avatar is a fairy in it - and I love fairies - there is nothing worse than a sad one. It shows despair but the song I chose shows that there is hope if someone would let me in, to love and be loved.

JF: [Washed Up]

AR: I just like that one because I got the reflections right and I am in one of my favorite ocean themed/mermaid outfits *Laughs* I just like that picture overall

JF: They are all gorgeous, I love all the color and beautiful tones you use. Your photos really speak a story you should be very proud.

AR: Thank you. *Smiles*

JF: I have to ask you, because it would not seem right not to have one, but can you pick out your favorite mermaid photo for me?

AR: *Laughs* That is quite difficult but I will try to choose just one… I did one recently I like so much and it’s totally not my normal style. I don’t usually do kawaii style very well but this one I liked. It is one of my top 3.

[Delicate Balance of Consciousness]

JF: It is stunning; I love the vibrancy.

AF: Yes, it is different but I like it. It is one of my least darker photos. *Laughs*

JF: Thank you for taking the time for this interview. You have been such a pleasure for the Broken chair.

AR: Thank you for interviewing me! I am honored.
