KALEIDOS

Hello! This is my first assignment with Kaleidos and I am so thrilled to take part in this wonderful magazine. The assignment? Explore Second Life! Easy enough to do, but then to only settle on one sim to write about each magazine edition. I did a lot of pondering and wandering and finally I settled on a well-known collection of sims, but what I love about them is that they just transformed into Spring, with vibrant color and a feeling of sweetness in the air as you look around.

The theme for Kaleidos this round is Revolution and Order, and I think the Spring captures this in an amazing and natural way. We know that every three months we’ll be seeing a new season, that winter always leads to spring, spring always is followed by summer, with autumn always coming behind that and leading into winter again. It is an incredible cycle that we rely on, needing it for the growth of our food and the counting of our years.

And yet, there is something about Spring which is just an explosion of light, a new depth of hues that excite and delight as we find ourselves with the energy to take on the world again, luxuriating in this feeling of newness, with a year of possibility ahead.

This is the mind-set I found myself in as I wandered around the Neva sims, exploring this lane and that bridge, seeing life begin ahead in exuberant magnificence and it led the way as my camera turned this way and that, capturing the details I found myself entranced with, loving how the owner, NevaCrystall, has created this wonderful essence of Spring.
