After a few snaps and ready to get the interview towards the finale I asked, “Many of us think of you as an inspiration in many ways. I am curious to know who you call your inspiration?” Her reply took a bit and she responded with, “I'm going to name drop now about who inspires me. Not in any particular order- Indigo Claire (whose RL art is unbelievable!), YOU Jason!, Loki the Necromancer, Frenchy, Azoury,  all those people who make masks and build sims and, and, and  - impossible question!! There are too many. All! Just all is inspiration.”

I could challenge her to name them all but maybe for another day because I knew she just might do that. That’s our Magic. Anyway, she continued “I've met some incredible people in Second Life. A few, I say few because friendship is a big word not to be used lightly, I consider kindred spirits. Part of a Charles Bukowski quote that I love goes, “How can you say you love one person when there are ten thousand people in the world that you would love more if you ever met them? But you'll never meet them. All right, so we do the best we can. Granted. But we must still realize that love is just the result of a chance encounter." Second Life is a chance encounter. I find inspiration in those people who I have met here and who I love.”

With a smile I put my notecard away and asked one last thing, “Where do you see yourself in a few years from now? Anything in particular you would feel like trying to endeavoring into? And, finally – anything you would like to say to our readers and your fans and your admirers, please do so.”

“Well, I see myself still creating, still expressing but I want to do it in real life more. I want to get serious about photography. I am starting a program in the summer in my community called "A Day in the Park", inviting anyone who wants to come with their art supplies and just feed off the energies of other like-minded souls. My daughter is a constant inspiration to me artistically. She's just a brilliant artist already and I can’t wait to see what she will create (not just paint) next. I share a lot of myself, I think, on my Flickr stream. I think that is what has changed in my work. I am not hiding behind my avatar anymore. I am my avatar. She is me.

I will end with a quote by one of my latest favs - Mr. Bukowski. This quote is about passion and I think we should all be passionate about something or other. Find your passion.

“unless it comes out of

your soul like a rocket,

unless being still would

drive you to madness or

suicide or murder,

don't do it.

unless the sun inside you is

burning your gut,

don't do it.

when it is truly time,

and if you have been chosen,

it will do it by

itself and it will keep on doing it

until you die or it dies in you.

there is no other way.

and there never was.”

It took me a while to really grasp the words she just recited. When I did, I just smiled. And ended with a last gasp of “Indeed”. She was very thankful for letting her express in our interview section, and I was more than thankful to her for letting me take her interview. With a quick hug and sharing of endearing Thank You’s, which we do a lot, may be meant a lot more this time, I am not sure yet - we bid good night and headed out.

To my dearest friend and an astounding artist MagicMarker, thank you for letting me get to know the you in you, you are very inspirational and artistically sound with a strong motivating persona. I, along with our readers and Kaleidos team wish you all the best in your future in both lives, just never stop fascinating us with your Magic. That’s all folks, time to end another issue of Chasing Miss Y and I do that with a quote from Mr. Bukowski:

“The free soul is rare, but you know it when you see it - basically because you feel good, very good, when you are near or with them.”
