I continued again, “Your photos delve more with masks and at times outrageous outfits and gadgets, what’s your thoughts on expressing yourself through those? Also, to add on that – your recent works seem devoid of such paraphernalia’s, could you share with us what changed or why the subtle diversion or changes?” Her response was simple and coherent, “My early works were a lot of this style - masks, wings, shoes with three feet heels. Particularly masks because I felt like I was hiding behind one in the form of an avatar. The avatar was my mask. I've come out of my avatar as much as I've come out of my shell since but my love of those items has not left me. I can wear a headpiece of bullhorns and feel empowered, strong, capable and simply, just like a bull. Maybe it is like acting, taking on the characteristics of that thing I am wearing. In real life, those who I cook for tell me that I make my food with love. I have a passion for it. I think the same can be said of my pictures or some of them, at least. I focus more on faces, bodies, fashion, not so much on environments. That might be due to the limited capability of my computer. I also have no education in Photoshop and very little desire to want to learn. I like what I create. When it comes a time that I do not, then I suppose I will further my skills and maybe learn PS. For now, I am content.”

At that moment I stood and asked her, hoping she would direct me to the answer of the next question, “What is your favorite Sim in second life?” And to my surprise she pointed out,” This, Furillen.” Then I remember why she might have chosen to do the interview there in first place. To her answer she added,” Furillen, it is simple yet stunningly beautiful and I have met wonderful people there. Also Fogbound Blues club. I love blues and crowd there aren’t so bad either. Fogbound was actually the first place I considered my home in Second Life. One of those places you enter and everyone yells ‘MAGIC! what weirdness are you today?’” With a chuckle I added, “Nothing new to me, it’s what I feel every time I see you – what weirdness are you into today?” and before she would elaborate on that I asked her to point me to the most favorite spot in Furillen. She pointed to a crossed pair of trees nearby, they are easily visible as you land in Furillen. I curiously asked, “Why?” and to that her response was, “Aren’t they beautiful, the trees laced together standing alone against the empty sky and ocean. They are love trees, they stand together, strong and can withstand anything.” I couldn’t agree more. And its where she posed for me and we snapped a photo.  [ Magic Marker picture no. 2 of this article]
