Q. What is your collection inspired by? Ans. Our collection is inspired by everything we look up in our day to day life. Inspiration is everywhere , whether it is music, nature, art or travelling. Q. 5 words to describe your brand aesthetics? Ans. Trustworthy, Youthful, Innovative, Subtle and Stylish. Q. What does Labelsilhouette stand for? Ans. Our Customers define our brand. Whatever we do and however we do it, we do it to make them happy. So in order to know our brand, you should know our customer. We do not abide by the fashion rules, however we do believe in the idea that some effort must go in the way you look everyday, and everyone wants to look good everyday. Fashion is seasonal, while style is eternal. At Silhouette, we are not selling Fashion, we are helping customers find their style irrespective of their age. A brand with unique style varying from cocktail dress to ethnic fusion. Q. Where do you want to take this brand in 5 years? Any plans? Ans. We wish there was a plan, just take a print out of everything we have in our head, because it is so hard to explain someone when they ask that question . Q. Advice for budding designers? Ans. • Look for outside inspiration. • Making mistakes is fine-as long as you learn from them. • Use social media to your advantage. Social media gives people the ability to really see what’s going on behind the scenes. • Know exactly what your brand is before you start marketing it. Take time to fully understand your products in every sense. Q. Favourite fashion word? Ans. Our favourite word is “ SILHOUETTE” which means the line that bounds and gives form to something. Q. Any Delhi Hack for new designers? Ans. Delhi is a place full of life. Some markets which you can explore are: • Chandni chowk: Home to some exotic and high quality fabrics like silk, satin, crepe, cotton and muslin, embroidered fabrics, georgette etc. • Lajpat nagar: A storehouse of latest accessories, clothes, footwear, bags, kurtis, sarees at dirt cheap rates. • Seelampur: This market is stocked with an insane variety of export fabrics. Whatever type of material you’re looking for– if it exists, it is up for grabs here! • Nehru place: The stores here have a direct mill-access. Handloom and cotton material are available at wholesale rates. Silk, linen, net, crepe and georgette are available in a variety of hues and prints. Q. Where do you head from here? Ans.
