SHERRI CRUZ - featured artwork "Into The Light" "The first time I heard 'All The Critics' I can remember saying, who is this? This certainly wasn't like any music out at the time. Who would have ever guessed that song would ever turn into a lifetime of love, admiration and appreciation for "the one" truly gifted and talented person - PRINCE! He personified and still personifies even in death, the true essence of what it is to be a true musician, just phenomenal! Through his music, his words, his experiences he was able to touch a bit of all of us, a sort of meeting of the minds that never took place in person. His songs always touched me somewhere deep, a place I needed to explore and his music, his words often took me there. It was like he understood a part of my soul that longed to connect and be understood on a much deeper level, both spiritually, artistically and simply as a human being, and it really didn't matter that it was just through music. Mus ic is a gift from God to move our souls in a direction of evolution and growth and that is what his music has always done for me - kept me thinking and exploring artistically. I will always thank him for that, without his music I might have never picked up a paintbrush. I love you for being you, whether the masses thought you weird and disguised it with words like eccentric or enigmatic, to us you were just being you and that's what gave normalcy to a lot of those who found comfort in solitude, and some of us "understood what the silence looked like." You'll always be my favorite lil man, I fell in love to your music, made babies to your music, found my inner sexy to your music, became a woman to your music, mourned death to your music, gave life to your music, made friends for life through your music, and created art through your music... I just love you. You were a spitfire, stubborn and opinionated, and ass many times but always amazingly gifted, smart, sexy, full of wisdom. Gosh you were great and always easy on the eyes. When I say your music will never sound the same to my ears, it simply won't. It will forever be bittersweet, the bitter in your absence, the sweet in the sound of your angelic voice... thank you for all the memories. And when the April Snow passes I hope to see you standing in the Purple Rain. One kiss at a time, SC." https://www.facebook.com/Prince-O--722853471151572/ www.dreamtocreate.com Instagram – DRM2CR8 Etsy – Dream2createstudio
