Embracing Change: Director of Academic Affairs
Christine Smith has been an adjunct instructor at the International College for the past two years, where she has established positive relationships with faculty and students alike. Recently, she has filled the post of Director of Academic Affairs. Christine possesses a Master’s degree in English Education from Columbia University (NY) and an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree in Educational Leadership. She has 10 years of experience as a classroom instructor and five years of experience as a member of a school’s Leadership/Management Team. One of Christine’s areas of expertise is mentoring instructors by designing faculty development sessions so that instructors may reach their full potential as educators. She has also served as a sponsor to Student Government and will be an integral part of developing the College’s Student Government to best meet our school’s needs. Additionally, Christine is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, which will offer our students the unique opportunity of learning Spanish as part of becoming well-rounded candidates for the 21st century job market.
