"EVERYTHING "Chia" with MarChia"

When I first came across information about the amazing Chia seed I immediately thought..."Ahh with a first name like MarChia what an opportunity I have to be sharing about this absolutely incredible little seed! Nature truly does give us all that we need to live a Health-filled life! One in which we feel really good mentally, physically, emotionally & spiritually! Nature is complex so that we don't have to be! We have an abundance of plants, seeds, nuts, grains, berries, herbs to be able to live each day in an amazing way! We are made according to nature and we are meant to live as such. Some of the issues with people nowadays is that they have allowed themselves to be taken so very far away from nature and the average person my find themselves not even enjoying the outdoors for very long periods of time. They are

eating lifeless foods that are processed to death. That are genetically altered & or irradiated. Foods that have been grown in soil that is as lifeless as the food it produces not to mention the pesticides/herbicides used in the soil & on the plants/foods.

This isn't meant to have you the reader feel distraught but rather to encourage you to play your part in making the difference in turning many of these situations around in a way that provides results in your own health & well-being as well as many others who are looking for solutions as well. I encourage people to only put your attention on what can be done and to begin one step at a time. Solutions & appropriate action will bring about stunning results. We know very well that in life focusing on the problems only bring more of the same. Be the difference you want to see and do the little things that will make this difference.

What, you may say will help make a difference! Become more involved in your community. Lean more about Farm to Table for example. Connect with Community Supportive Agriculture (CSAs). Pay attention to bills that can be implemented that will make a difference. Notice I did not say to get caught up in all the negative, upsetting issues that arise frequently. There is a saying I created years ago & that is..."Be/Feel/See what it is you'd like to manifest ~ along with the appropriate

Action" and you will soon see that very Reflection!

I encourage people to turn their TVs OFF! To quit reading the newspapers that are filled with nothing but negativity as is the TV! Be conscious of what you are listening to on the radio. All of this impacts our well-being & sometimes you are not even aware of it. You may not realize that your health, your moods, & your actions are being controlled by what is fed to you on a daily basis.

OK now back to the Chia seed :>)! This Ancient seed is filled with many healthful nutrients. Smaller than and often compared to the flax seed Chia is filled with two times more protein than most grains and five times more calcium than milk. Plus, it has high levels of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, soluble fiber, potassium and antioxidants.

Because of being high in fiber chia seeds can absorb up to 10 to 12 times their weight in water, becoming gelled & expanding in the stomach which could increase fullness, slow absorption of your food and help one eat fewer calories. And let us remember that fiber feeds the friendly bacteria in our intestines, which is important because keeping the good bacteria well fed is absolutely crucial for health!

A bit more about this amazing little but mighty Chia seed> they are tiny black seeds from the plant Salvia Hispanica which is related to the mint family. It grows natively in South America. The Chia were an important staple for the Aztecs and Mayans in ancient times. They prized them for their

ability to provide sustainable energy. Actually “chia” is the ancient Mayan word for strength. Despite their ancient history as a dietary staple, only recently did chia seeds become recognized as a modern day super food.

As always we encourage the reader to venture out into their own research. As you do so a whole new world opens up, one that will continue to amaze you & that reconfirms that Nature is your best friend and implores us to reconnect to that which we ARE!
