SEPTEMBER / Canada We journeyed to Newfoundland! We joined the CNIB charity – providing community-based support, knowledge, and a national voice to ensure Canadians who are blind or partially sighted have the confidence, skills, and opportunities to fully participate in life. The dedicated specialists work with people of all ages in their homes and communities providing the personalized rehabilitation support they need to see beyond vision loss, build their independence, and lead the lives they want.

OCTOBER / Dominican Republic We journeyed to Puerto Plata! We’ ve had an incredible experience developing relationships with all the amazing people at Dove Missions. We learned about the people, families, culture, and way of life in Dominican Republic. With the support of our Just Givers, we delivered Boxes of Joy to kids in the barrios, supplied a 125lb sac of rice for Dove’ s food baskets that support families, and provided Dove Missions with a working printer along with computer paper.

DECEMBER / Costa Rica
We journeyed to Nosara! Helping turtles, howlers, and more … Our alarms went off at 4:00am, it was pitch-black out when we left our hacienda to travel to the volcanic beach sands in search of baby turtles. We had the pleasure of protecting these sweet creatures while they made their way to the ocean! We also learned about how transformers and powerlines are killing and injuring howler monkeys. We set a goal on insulating three of them!
