Jurnal Maritim edisi 6 english | Page 5

From The Readers Association of Shipping Engineering Students ITS – Surabaya Good day. We are from the Association of Shipping Engineering ITS – Surabaya. We would like to propose our article on the discussion of the Bridge on Sunda Strait based on the students’ perspective. Are there procedures concerning the above matter? Kindly inform us so that we can prepare them. We will surely accept any decision made by the Jurnal Maritim. Thank you for your cooperation. Hanny Rosadi, entrepeneur, Jakarta. As a citizen in Jakarta, I would like to be informed on the maritime tours available aside from the existing Pulau Seribu location. I’ve heard from the grapevine that there are possible sites seldom visited by tourists. I myself am not well informed on this. Will the Jurnal Maritim be able to assist me in preparing articles about tour sites around Jakarta? Commercialization on tour sites should also be covered by the Jurnal Maritim, as there are plenty tourist-site management companies not thinking of the effect on the environment when the tourists’ site are prepared for industrial areas. Do they already consider concepts such as ecotourism or the like? And on the government side, as the party providing the permission, how is the policy of the government considering ecotourism? Rini Utami, student, Jakarta As an archipelago, it is a pity when the government does not give attention to the traditional fishermen who are working hard without much success. With the presence of Giant Sea Wall, the government guaranteed the fishermen will not be cornered. Nevertheless, I have not seen any interview made with the fishermen on the Jakarta seaside regarding Giant Sea Wall planning. Do they have the same opinion as the government, or do they have the same opinion with the NGO’s that has rejected the idea of building the giant dam. On the other hand, it is also possible that they themselves don’t have any clue on the plans of the building of a giant dam. I’m hoping that the Jurnal Maritim will provide opportunities toward the fishermen, to speak up and offer their opinion regarding the Giant Sea Wall and how they are doing right now. What are actually their issues nowadays? Anggoro, student in Jakarta I’m interested in the issues on Maritime. I’m interested in pursuing further studies on maritime, but my knowledge on the field is very limited. Are there field of studies in the field of Maritime? How is the future of the jobs in the future? Will it be possible for the Jurnal Maritim to prepare a special article on the above matter? Thank you. Maritim 5 JURNAL
