Roy Thoman

I have been taking photos for as long as I can remember. My first camera was a Kodak 110 Instamatic. Phew, remember those? I love capturing a moment in time that can never be revisited again. It might be beam of light creating an interesting shadow, a rainbow, or a loved one. Time is constantly passing us by and there are moments of beauty all around us. I like to capture that moment in time. Moments that maybe no one else but me has seen or maybe they didn’t see it the way that I did. You can point 10 photographers in the same direction and get 10 very different but equally amazing images.

My wife tells me I have “the eye.” I think she means when we are both out together somewhere and I am taking pictures. Often she will look at the pictures and say something like “was I here? I don’t remember seeing that!?”

I grew up and lived most of my life in York, PA. I moved to Florida almost 10 years ago. I have two children who live in PA with their spouses and my wonderful grandchildren. My beautiful wife, Robbie, and I are living and photographing in Titusville, Florida.
