Junsjazz Images & Inspiration Issue #5 | Page 16

While I have an interest in photography going back more than three decades, I only bought my first SLR camera in 2007, in preparation for a Kenyan safari. Since then my interest in it has grown, and I have been lucky enough to be involved in a handful of weddings as well as four exhibitions in the Worthing area of West Sussex (with two more coming up in 2013). My blog - http://ckponderings.wordpress.com/ - started off as a bit of a random interest eighteen months ago, but has developed into an outlet for my photographic musings, and provides me with the feedback and inspiration to fuel my fire further. I love portrait photography – particularly the rawness of Wolfgang Tillmans’ work, Bruce Weber’s aspirational images and the artistry of Ryan McGinley – but for me photography is all about seeing beauty in the everyday things we normally overlook.
