Some Things about Me
I grew up in Northern Victoria, Australia, in various country towns.
I have lived in Melbourne for over 25 years and know it really well.
I’ve been taking photos most of my life, though seriously since 1993 when I got my first SLR, a Pentax K1000, though I’ve done heaps, I am always learning.
I studied photography at NMIT, though didn’t finish the course because I went on to complete a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts, which I did in 2006.
I can give technical advice about photography and some editing.
I love landscape photography, though I prefer landscapes with some man made element in them.
I consider myself a fine art photographer, a photo artist.
I love coffee.
I have a cat called Tiddles.
I love digital photography and the control you can have over it.
Buildings that are falling apart and ravaged by time are incredibly appealing.
I am good with faces but terrible with names.
I enjoy talking to other people about photography.
My first experience with photo editing was about 10 or 12 years ago and was with GIMP
I first used Photoshop in 2003 during a photography course I was doing, but have only been using it seriously for the last couple of years.
It is always great to look at other peoples photos and help them make them better, or be amazed at what they have done.
I really enjoy showing and teaching people photography.
I enjoy photographs with a high sense of drama.
