WSCA Digital Spotlight www. wsca. org 2025- June- 23
Hey everyone! Show season has finally arrived! I am looking forward to a full summer of horse shows and eagerly awaiting the arrival of Champ Show and many other fun events this year. I have been showing a younger horse the last few years since retiring my old show horse. Ser Driftin Zan Parr, or“ Drifter” as we like to call him, came home with us on a trip home from horse camping in Medora, North Dakota. While I did not plan that we would come home with a weanling on that trip, I am sure happy we did! Drifter has been so fun to learn and grow with over the years. I have a few things I am looking forward to trying this summer with Drifter, and I hope you also get to try some new things with your horses! We hope to catch you at our Royalty Show on June 7th at the Northwest Saddle Club Grounds in North Branch, Minnesota. We’ ve got plenty of classes for all riders, including ranch classes and adaptive riding classes. Along with that, we’ ve got plenty of cool prizes, there will be vendors and food trucks, and some very nice high point awards and buckles! The WSCA Royalty Court will also be busy getting ready for the Royalty Banquet in August, Special Olympics, and one of my personal favorites, helping out at the Equimania booth at the Minnesota State Fair. Some recent events that I have had the opportunity to attend include the Derby Day Fundraiser by HEC Hooves of Joy, the Royalty Clinic, and of course, Horse Expo. We had such a fun time helping out at Expo and getting to meet other royalty. I am very thankful for the opportunity to share knowledge and happenings about horses and WSCA with others. Along with a lot of shows this summer, I hope to spend plenty of time with family and friends. I also love to golf in the summer and stay active by hiking and running. I am excited for a fun-filled summer. My horse Drifter and I look forward to seeing you in the show pen!
God Bless!
