On Thursday 19th June, Mr Manning and Mr Reid took a group of our young golfers on an overnight golf trip to Arran.
They got the ferry over on Thursday and played a morning round at Brodick in the form of mixed teams, with teams made up on the ferry.
In the afternoon, a second round was played to start off the competition, with Euan McKellar shooting a fantastic level par score. In the evening, they went to the Arran
Outdoor Centre where they had a climbing wall and a quiz.
On the Friday, they played the 2nd round of the competition Lamlash- 2nd, followed by 2- hole play-off with the top 3 players. Other players caddied or lined the course, with Cameron Weekes coming out as the champion after hitting the shot of the tournament – a 200 yard shot up the hill to 10ft and sunk the birdie putt.
The group had an excellent weekend and were incredibly lucky with the weather. Big thanks to Mr Manning and Mr Reid for organising.
