LETTER FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT
During the month of May , we experienced some of the driest weather that we have seen in some time for our region . During times like these , our water supply is limited and restricted to a degree . Don ’ t be alarmed when you see the turf “ off-color ” or “ brown ”. We are managing through this tough time . We are confident that the turf will make a quick recovery as soon as our summer rains start back up !
Due to the recent dry conditions , the Mole Cricket activity has been low . We anticipate that the annual hatch will be late this year and are ready to apply the insecticide when the time comes .
In the coming weeks , we will be completing some tree work between # 5 Green and # 6 Tee Box . Over the years , # 6 tee box has been a struggle to maintain due to shade complications in the Winter . In addition to this project , we will be doing some additional tree work on hole # 18 .
