The New Love Center Food Pantry in Jersey Shore has become an important source of hope and support for families facing food insecurity throughout parts of Lycoming and Clinton counties. Founded in 2014 after another local ministry closed its doors, the organization grew from a small community effort into a major nonprofit outreach that now serves hundreds of local families each month.
The center operates several programs designed to help people in practical and compassionate ways. Its food pantry provides groceries, fresh produce, dairy items, and other essentials to residents in communities including Jersey Shore, Linden, Avis, Woolrich, and Lock Haven. In addition to pantry services, the organization also runs a free café program that offers lunches and fellowship to anyone in need.
The New Love Center continues to expand its impact through innovative programs that address both immediate needs and long-term stability. Looking ahead, the organization is preparing to open a new Education Center, which will offer classes and resources focused on life skills, nutrition, financial literacy, and personal development. This new initiative reflects a commitment to empowering individuals and families with the knowledge and tools they need to build healthier, more sustainable futures.
The organization is also supported by volunteers from more than 30 local churches and community groups. Beyond food distributions, the New Love Center provides senior food boxes, backpack meal programs for students, emergency food assistance, and mobile food pantry outreach to rural communities.
Today, the New Love Center continues to reflect its mission of serving neighbors with dignity, compassion, and care, while helping strengthen the entire Jersey Shore community.
