As MJ speaks , she shares with us the mentors who made a difference in her journey . One person she mentions is her high school basketball coach at St Mary ’ s Academy , who happens to be one of our very own CWGA members , Kathy Kinyon . What an honor it is to be in the audience and recognized as part of the journey of this very successful woman . It goes to show that the impact we have on each other is greater than we often imagine .

Williams , The Niners president , Cathy Loffink and CWGA Co-Presidents Amy Day and Carol Riley for giving us the opportunity to be inspired and mentored by this passionate , accomplished woman , author , coach and golfer , MJ McCloskey . There is also so much we can pass on to our daughters and granddaughters .

Do you , or does someone you know , have a story to tell ?
In a survey conducted by Charbonneau Country Club ( CCC ) Communications Committee in 2022 , 97 % of the respondents reported reading the Villager and over three-quarters reported satisfaction with Villager content . One of the strategies the Communication Committee is pursuing is to broaden the range of Villager content to reflect the unique and varied character and makeup of the Charbonneau community . As a committee we would like to produce stories that spotlight Charbonneau residents who have done or are doing something unique , e . g . writing a book or engaging in a unique hobby . We would like to publish profiles of residents ’ lives , life experiences and unusual careers . Maybe it was even a chance meeting with someone famous .
This is where you , the reader , come in . Let us know about the stories present in our vibrant community that would be fun to share . A new email address has been set up to send in your ideas .
Please contact us at communications @ charbonneaucountryclub . com with an article you have written or with an idea and we will assist in getting it ready for publication . Like the next winner on American Idol , who is out there just waiting to be discovered ? This same email can be used to address residents ’ concerns . If you have something to discuss , let us know .
The survey yielded over 900 individual comments from residents regarding ways CCC may improve its communications . Many of these dealt with email communications and the CCC website . A comprehensive audit of the CCC website is well underway to identify and implement improvements that will ensure continuous accuracy and timeliness of content .
The weekly email blast has been upgraded to keep residents informed of current events . If you are not receiving it go to the CCC website , click on Contact Us and then click on the Resident Portal to register . The Activities calendar has undergone major enhancements and is always available on the CCC website . A copy of the calendar appears in the back of the monthly Charbonneau Villager , but the Villager goes to print nearly three weeks before it hits your mailbox , so always look online for the most up-to-date version of the events calendar .
