Paul E . Kandarian wrote a profile all about Rhode Island Film and Television Office Executive Director Steven Feinberg [“ Made for the Movies ”], but he ’ s also an actor in local commercials and films . You might spot him in ads for the Rhode Island Lottery , Balise Auto Group and Sole Source Restoration , and films such as Amityville : The People of NY vs Ronald J . DeFeo Jr . He loved exploring the state ’ s film scene through Feinberg ’ s eyes . “ Steve is a guy who proudly wears his Rhode Island-loving heart on his sleeve ,” he says .
First time Rhode Island Monthly contributor , Chad Weeden , is a published poet , portrait photographer and musician . His journey recently led him to the Northeast , arriving from Charlotte , North Carolina . Several of his portraits have appeared in the magazines Fine Woodworking , Luxe , State Tech and SouthPark . He captured profile subject Steven Feinberg in two of his favorite places . “ Connecting with Steve and his best buddy Rusty was like meeting up with kindred spirits ,” he says . “ Chasing light from his office to the stables , just in time for their quiet hour . Together a force , a spark , an inherent bond straight out of a movie .”
Photographer Wolf Matthewson shot a mysterious stainedglass window in Warren for this month ’ s Snapshot . Capturing it proved to be more challenging than he thought . “ Gaining access was fun because of the helpful and interesting people we met in the process … the friendly neighbor on his ladder painting his house led us to the two fishermen around the block ( one of them a news photographer in years past ) who contacted the caretaker by phone ,” he says . “ All of this only added to the treasure of finding the stained-glass window at the end of the hunt .” 🆁
