LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
St . Johns Members ,
Summer is here and we can reflect on a great spring and prepare for an even better fall ! There has been a whirlwind of activity at the facility lately . We hope everyone enjoyed the great tournaments and fun social events . Thank you all who came out to support our fundraiser for Aimie earlier last month ! Because of your generous contributions , we were able to raise over $ 5,000 . This amount will go a long way to help Aimie continue her fight .
We are excited to announce that Monique ( Mo ) Gesualdi has been hired as our new Director of Instruction ! Mo ’ s passion for golf began at a young age while playing for Nease Highschool , where through numerous wins and accolades she earned a full scholarship to Furman University . After completing college , she has pursued membership with the PGA , LPGA and is a TPI Level 2 certified coach and instructor . Many of you may be familiar with her while she served as the Director for the Burnett Academy since July of 2019 . We are thrilled to have Mo a part of the St . Johns staff and have her enthusiasm for the game create a great teaching facility many can enjoy .
The addition of the Academy practice space is exciting for St . Johns . We envision the location to become a great facility to introduce many to the game and provide an atmosphere where all golfers can develop their skills . Members are welcome to use the putting , chipping and bunker areas freely . There may be times that these areas will be reserved for instruction , please check with the instructor ’ s schedule before using these facilities . Also , please continue to utilize the main driving range tee while hitting range balls . The Academy ’ s tee space is limited and is required for active programing .
Just a reminder , the Women ’ s and Men ’ s 210 Cup is only a month away ! It is great to see this event return fully after a year ’ s absence . Please make sure to come out and support our teams and we renew this exciting weekend !
Lastly , with the warmer weather , please make sure to stay hydrated on the course . Take plenty of water with you through the day and remember , dehydration can sneak up on you fast . Even if you aren ’ t thirsty , have a drink while playing !
