the pinks

It was a solid start but the form was to dip at a crucial stage in the season. At the end of the first round of fixtures, the Pinks had marginally missed out on a place in the "Top 6" with dropped points from winning positions against Newton Store and Gibraltar Titans being the main reason. 10 points from 11 games, not really a true reflection of what could have been. Nonetheless, with 5 fixtures left to play in the bottom half and a Plate trophy but also potential relegation still on the cards, nothing was a certainty. The Pinks took a brilliant 13 points from the 15

evergreen Jamie Walker who bagged a hat-trick on the day. The game that followed against Lincoln Avanti was to be our first tough test in the new division. Lincoln a highly experienced side with many talented local players. Step up Robin Sheppard-Capurro. 0-1 down at half time, Robin came off the bench to score a 5 minute hat-trick to send the Pinks to the top of the table and give us an unimaginable 3 wins from the first 3 games.
