Character Witness: Testifying God’s Love
Nationally known vocalist, storyteller, and worship leader ValLimar Jansen presented this year’s Parish
Mission at Visitation of Our Lady Church. Singing uplifting hymns in clear, soulful tones inspired many to rise
to their feet and sing along with great enthusiasm.
ValLimar “transformed” herself into several different characters of the bible, giving a “witness account”
of the Woman at the Well, the bonding of Naomi and Ruth, the Healing of the Blind Man, the Visitation of Mary
to Elizabeth, and more. Her authentic performances were so powerful, they seemed to carry the audience right
into the scene with her.
Through her beautiful singing voice and dramatic portrayal of bible characters, ValLimar Jansen
transported her audience to another place and time. It was truly an unforgettable experience!
