Overall, the results of the survey we recently sent to you
are very good. Let’s look at them.
When I was in private business, a 3% survey return was
considered okay. VOL did considerably better than okay. Approximately 10% of our registered parishioners turned in a completed survey and the percentage of our weekly Mass goers who
did so was twenty-five percent.
In general, people respond to a survey for one of two reasons. They love what you are doing or they hate it. Strong
opinions elicit responses. Those in the middle of the road tend to
sit it out, and so do those who are satisfied and see no reason to
change.
Here are some of the highlights.
Eighty percent of those who responded to the survey say they
come to weekend Mass regularly.
Approximately 10% of our respondents say they come to a
weekday Mass from time to time.
Respondents give very high marks to our Children’s ministries.
Adult Faith Formation also got very high marks.
Here’s one that warms my heart.
Over 99% of you say your priests are available when you need us.
