Visitation of Our Lady Church 3500 Ames Blvd. Marrero, LA 70072 (Continued from front cover) Well, one day, the Angel Amore appeared to Dulcinea. Amore said, “Dulcinea, Jesus wants you to go into the village and find him.” Dulcinea was excited. She agreed to go. The next day, Dulcinea left the castle for the first time in her life. She was shocked. The village was small and very dirty. Its buildings and homes were ramshackle. Almost immediately, Dulcinea saw a little girl. About her age. The girl was skinny. Her dress was dirty and full of holes. She was crying. Then, Dulcinea saw a family of seven living under a bridge. They too were all bone t hin. They begged Dulcinea for food. She rushed on. On the other side of the bridge she ran into an old man. He was blind and had no legs. Dulcinea asked him, “Old man, can you tell me where to find Jesus?” The old man pointed to his lips. He could not talk; he was mute. Dulcinea also saw a man who proudly confessed he was a murderer. He threatened Dulcinea with an axe. Crying, Dulcinea rushed back to the castle. Angel Amore was waiting for her. “Did you see Jesus?” Dulcinea cried out. “He was nowhere to be found. It was horrible. I didn’t see him.” Amore said gently, “You’re wrong. You saw Jesus over and over. In a little girl who was crying. In a family of seven who begged you to give them food. In a man who couldn’t see, walk or talk. In a murderer. Jesus is in everyone.” Dulcinea blurted, “Even in the murderer?” Amore said firmly, “Even in the murderer. Dulcinea, learn to see Jesus in everyone.” Dulcinea changed. She eventually became Queen Dulcinea. Her subjects called her Queen Dulcinea the Good. Everyone said the same thing, “Dulcinea the Good sees Jesus in everyone.” Ferdie said, “Mike it’s a fairy tale.” I said, “No, Ferdie, it’s the Gospel.”
