Page 7 July 2014 Faith for the Family Families that pray together stay together. We’ve all heard the words, and most of us would agree that they are true. But what do we actually DO about it? How do we pray as a family? Sometimes, learning about our faith makes prayer easier, because we get a better understanding of God’s love for us. Why not take an active role in learning more about the Catholic faith? Among its many ministries, Visitation of Our Lady Parish has two formal religious education programs. One is designed for adults (RCIA, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults,) and one for children CCD (Catechism of Christian Doctrine.) The RCIA Program is for adults 18 years old and older who wish to be Confirmed in the Catholic Faith, or who just want to learn about Catholicism. Whether you’ve been baptized into the Catholic faith or another faith, (or have never been baptized), our RCIA Program is open to you! Classes meet weekly from August through Easter. The CCD Program is for children enrolled in Kindergarten through 11th grades in public or private school whose parents are seeking faith formation and spiritual growth for their children. CCD students who attend classes continually are prepared for and receive age-appropriate sacraments. Classes meet weekly from September through April. Ask your family to learn about our faith with you, and make arrangements to attend one (or both) of the programs this fall. It’s a great investment in your family, and in your faith!
