Luxury Golf Cart Costs
More Than A Mer-
cedes-Benz E-Class
www.carbuzz.com
An expensive set of clubs. A
cocky set of plus fours. In-
dividuals who like to waste
time at the golf course
aren’t shy about display-
ing their wealth, which is
why there’s no shortage of
car-inspired golf carts for
oligarchs to tootle around
in. A few years ago, Mer-
cedes-Benz dreamt up what
its very own golf cart might
look like. Now, a company
called Garia has taken up
the challenge to build a lux-
ury golf cart for the wealthi-
est of golf enthusiasts, who
will have to pay $73,000
to become the king of the
course. That’s more than a
Mercedes E-Class.
Garia has also made the cart useful be-
yond the golf course, because it is clas-
sified as a low-speed, street-legal vehi-
cle. The cart’s lithium battery pack gives
it an electric range of up to 50 miles
with two drive modes. Golf mode lim-
its it to slower speeds, while the street
mode lets it hit up to 25 mph (Europe-
an models can even go up to 43 mph).
Garia has partnered with famous tun-
ing house Mansory, for the sales and
distribution of its new golf car. $73,000
seems like a crazy amount to spend on
a golf cart, but there is no shortage of
crazy rich people out there.
For that sum of money,
the Garia golf cart better
be something special. The
company said the styl-
ing was inspired by Mer-
cedes-Benz, and we can
kind of see inspiration from
the Smart FourTwo. Of
course with a car-inspired
design, the Garia has many
features not found on an
ordinary golf cart. Some of
the Garia’s automotive-in-
spired features include: LED
lights, an automotive grille,
a rear spoiler that doubles
as a golf bag holder, 14-inch
aluminum wheels, and a
10-inch infotainment sys-
tem with Bluetooth. The
Gaira also has features only
found on high-dollar cars
such as: a carbon fiber roof,
diamond-cut elements, and
a built-in cooler.
