Chamber welcomes new member
Excel Glass
E
xcel Glass began in Columbus,
Indiana 24 years ago and has been
a success since the beginning.
Owner David Sebastian has
been doing automotive and residential
glass installation and removal for 33 years.
Sebastian previously ran Glass Specialty
in the Vincennes area. Glass work was not
originally something he felt he was going to

be doing for the rest of his life. When the
opportunity presented itself, Sebastian ran
with it, learned a lot and has been doing it
ever since. “This, I now know, is what I was
meant to do,” said Sebastian.
David grew up on a farm in Illinois and
spent his younger years working with glass
installation. After opening a
shop in Columbus, the dream
of opening a location in
Shelbyville arose.
Excel Glass secretary, Jess,
and David ran across a location
in Shelbyville and thought
they’d give it a shot to opening
a shop. It has been a lot of long
hours, sweat and tears but they
are proud to say it has all paid
off tremend ously.
“We couldn’t have asked
for a better location or town!”
The people of Shelbyville have
been great and very welcoming
and accepting of the new establishment.
