once captured, pogies have a tendency
to vomit which will likely kill the majority
of your catch (in the live well). Basically,
let your loot soak, on the side of the
boat (in net) a good 3-5 minutes before
placing in live well.

Florida. Capt. Eric uses a 5/8" mesh for
big pogies, 3/8” mesh for smaller pogies. He prefers a 12’ net, but a 9 footer
works great, if the larger nets are hard
for you to throw.
