This is about the most crowded time of year, and
getting away from boat pressure can be challenging. All
the community holes will have fish as always, such as the
hole at the CSX bridge crossing the Rigolets and the
north and south ends of the trestle in Lake Pontchartain;
but let's take some time to talk about the neglected
areas. When fishing the common community holes, you
have to get up at 4am, sit in the live bait line for 30 minutes, fish amongst 40 boats every day, and reel in fish
that have anchor scars on their heads. If you like a little
bit later start, the possibility of catching fish on plastic,
and avoiding the crowds, keep reading.
