Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion Page 2 Gauntlet Family and Friends, G ood-day! The past quarter has been demanding but certainly rewarding in many aspects. Our Soldiers continue to demonstrate resiliency and a winning spirit with quality performances in several events here at Bagram and at home-station. We had considerable number of participants in all of the 5K, 10K, and half marathon events here on Bagram. We also hosted the Boston Shadow Marathon and received tremendous support from service members and civilians. I want to also recognize the volunteers who were critical to the successful execution of this historic event as well as the support we received from the Gauntlet Family at Drum. Your posters and support were inspiring. Thanks to each and every one of you! Ethnic observances held this past quarter such as the “Women’s History”, “Days of Remembrance”, and “Asian Pacific Heritage” remind us of periods in our history that we should not forget. Although these events generally provide opportunities to recognize the achievements of many they also enable greater interaction between diverse ethnicities to enhance cross-cultural awareness.
