Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion Page 42 “It has been a pleasure to have worked with the finest Officer's, NCO's, Contractors and Civilians throughout my 20 years of Service in the United States Army. I am profoundly delighted to say that I served my country proudly & honorably. “ “I am astonished at how rapidly time has passed. It seems like just yesterday was my first day. "Where did the years go?" is what I consistently ask myself now as I reminisce through the memories. “ “Words cannot describe the honor it has been to serve with everyone. It is extremely difficult to give my farewell to the Army life style that I have developed; it is a battle rhythm embedded into my daily routines. Unfortunately, the time has arrived, in which, I must part ways and initiate a new chapter in my life. “ “I want to express a special thanks to my wife, Veronica, who supported me and stood by my side always, to include my family members. I will take with me all the skills and knowledge I have acquired in these past 20 years and apply them to any new experiences I encounter in my future. With intense pride, I served and protected what I strongly believed in; though I will not wear an Army uniform, I will continue to demonstrate my admiration to this great country and its freedom.” “I would like to the thank God and my family for helping and supporting me for 21 years of service to my country. I would also like to thank all the great Leaders I have had for their help, mentorship and guidance. Finally, to all the soldiers I have served with that have sacrificed so much and been my strength through all these years, Thank you and good luck with all you future endeavors. “
