The CJTF-10 Office of the Staff Judge Advocate is
mostly comprised of 10th Mountain personnel, and
augmented by U.S. Army Reserves and Air Force
personnel. We provide all legal support to the CJTF,
to include advice to commanders in the administrative, fiscal, operational, and criminal law areas; Soldier and Civilian support through legal assistance;
and both personal claims to Armed Forces personnel
and foreign claims for local nationals.
The OSJA has assisted the command in many accomplishments, from policy letters draft development
to UCMJ enforcement, purchase of educational supplies for local schools to general clothing and supplies for Afghan families, as well as legal advice for
Soldiers regarding their issues at home to classes
about what services we offer so Soldiers can utilize
our resources. Our personnel have traveled to many
other posts and bases in RC-East and provided support to those units ranging from criminal law to legal
assistance advice. All to ensure that our personnel
throughout the Command are taken care of and the
mission is successful.
Our section is also involved in many activities around
Bagram. Three of our attorneys ran the Boston
Marathon Shadow Run, and many others supported
the marathon as volunteers. Our Criminal Law personnel nearly own the ping-pong tables at the local
MWR. Our own SGM Mike Bostic was the guest
speaker for the African American Heritage Month
50th anniversary celebration; while Captain Tyson

As the HHBN, 10th Mountain Division arrived in Bagram,

work with the Korean Provincial
Reconstruction Team (PRT) Hospital. Seeing this as a great chance
to offer much needed medical support and knowledge to the Korean
PRT Hospital, CPT Sarah Cole, MD

Back at Fort Drum, and from the moment our boots touched down
in Bagram, we have strived to serve the Soldiers and the command with the best legal support possible, and we will continue to
do so until our safe return home. We thank the Rear Detachment
for all they do back at home station to support us, both the rear
