Welcome to The Orchards, Bri
Bri Ferguson stumbled into
Activities by accident two years
ago. She had never imagined
working with the elderly but when
an opportunity came up, she took
a chance and instantly fell in
love! She left behind her job as an
assignment editor at WTAE.
Since then, she’s been quirkier
and crazier than ever. Often times
you will see her with a Wacky
Hat or two, hatching chickens, or
dancing down the hallway. Bri will
do anything to put a smile on a
resident’s face.
Bri has a bachelors in Media
Arts from Robert Morris University and is a former
Zumba instructor. Her current passions are kayaking,
photography, and attempting to stay upright in different
yoga classes.

HOW DOES YOUR
GARDEN HELP?
Building a garden can
bring you much joy,
but did you know that
tending it can have a
great impact on your
health? Digging in the
dirt can help improve your
immune system through
“friendly” bacteria. It can
relieve stress and anxiety.
Gardening may reduce
the risk of dementia. In
addition, working your
garden is good exercise
and can do wonders for
your mood!
