THE GROVE
With the completion of parking
lot improvements and resurfacing
at the end of May, The Grove was
finally able to close the books on the
referendum project, that included a
major renovation of the Interpretive
Center and improvements to the
front entrance.
Sadly, due to the COVID-19
pandemic, The Grove had to close
its beautiful new building to the
public shortly after celebrating the
grand reopening last February.
Though Phase 4 of the 5-Phase
Restore Illinois Plan allows museum
facilities to reopen, because our
summer camps are using the
Interpretive Center and other Grove
buildings they must remain closed
for public use in accordance with
all state guidelines to keep campers
safe. We look forward to welcoming
you back when the Interpretive
Center can reopen again on August
10 with new safety measures, such
as reduced occupancy and required
face coverings to protect our visitors
and staff.
The Grove trails remain open to the
public this summer and parking is
available in our newly resurfaced lots.
