Judge Edward Rodgers Law Library Renaming Ceremony
The law library at the Hurley Courthouse has been officially renamed the Judge Edward Rodgers Law Library, honoring PBC’ s first African American judge. We proudly recognize Judge Rodgers’ legacy and impact on our legal community.
Judge M. Katherine Mullinax has wanted to be a judge for as far back as she can remember. As a child, she even drafted contracts about doing her chores and convinced her mother to sign them! Decades later, she has had the privilege of working as an attorney in private practice, Staff Attorney and then General Counsel for the 15th Judicial Circuit, and now as a Judge. She understands that the judiciary plays an important role in society, and believes it is a gift to serve the community.
