Dr . Ingrid Carvo
Dr . Ingrid Carvo graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2019 and completed a General Practice Residency at VA Boston Healthcare System . In dental school , she worked with Partners in Health in Peru where she created and led oral health workshops for community health workers . She also co-founded the Oral Medicine Group , where she invited researchers in the oral medicine and oral pathology field to share their academic journeys . She moved to Philadelphia to work as a general dentist with the underserved population at Project HOME , a federally qualified health center in northern Philadelphia . Dr . Carvo has served on the Board of Governors with the Philadelphia County Dental Society since 2021 . She has also co-chaired the Website / Communications Committee and served on the Liberty Dental Conference Logistics Committee .

When I first joined the Philadelphia County Dental Society , I was excited to meet new colleagues ; however , I quickly realized that I had found a family — from organizing CE events to attending diversity dinners to late night meetings , I cannot put into words how lucky I am to have met a wonderful group of people and to have the privilege to learn from them . Being part of organized dentistry has not only allowed me to meet inspiring colleagues , but more importantly it has enabled me to form lifelong friendships that I will cherish forever .”
Dr . Kelsey Dagenhart
Dr . Kelsey Dagenhart , a 2018 graduate of the Midwestern University of Dental Medicine , is currently employed as dentist with the AIDS Care Group . This unique clinic provides dental services to any individual living with HIV disease . In addition to her dedication to providing care for the underserved , she is also an active volunteer with the Dental Society of Chester County and Delaware County , serving as the editor of The Bulletin . She has also been a member of the Chester-Delaware Board and has previously served on the New Dentist Committee . Dr . Dagenhart is a member of PDA ’ s Communications and Public Relations Advisory Group .
“ I was very surprised to learn that I was nominated for this award . I have only been practicing in Pennsylvania for three years , but I have spent that time involving myself with the local dental society as a board member and enriching my community through volunteering . I am extremely pleased to know that my efforts have not gone unnoticed and are held in high esteem . I would like to thank my local dental society board members for making me feel so welcome and allowing me to be so involved .”
Dr . Jyoti Dangi
Dr . Jyoti Dangi graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2014 . She also completed additional years of advanced graduate training at Harvard School of Dental Medicine , earning a Master ’ s Degree of Medical Science ( MMSc ) in Oral Biology and certificates in Dental Public Health and Epidemiology . She has been a public health dentist with Community Volunteers In Medicine , a public health facility in West Chester serving the working poor of Chester County and surrounding areas , since 2016 . She also works on CVIM ’ s portable units at their senior center as well as St . Rocco ’ s Mission . Dr . Dangi is a dedicated volunteer for numerous programs such as Give Veterans a Smile , Give Kids a Smile and MOM-n-PA Dental Missions .

I feel a deep sense of pride knowing that my peers and fellow professionals in the dental community acknowledge my contributions . This award both humbles me and validates the years of hard work , dedication and passion I have invested in my dental practice . It inspires me to continue striving for excellence and strengthens my commitment to making meaningful contributions to the field of dentistry .
