organization , MOM-n-PA had assembled over 900 volunteers , including over 350 dentists and dental hygienists to provide care to the Allentown and surrounding communities .
The clinic ran from Friday morning June 2 until Saturday afternoon June 3 . From setup first thing in the morning June 1 , to complete breakdown of the mission on June 3 , the efforts of all involved was truly an amazing site to behold . The individuals and organizations are too many to mention here , but they are all to be praised for the excellent service provided to those in need . The feedback has been especially positive not only from the patients , but from the volunteers as well . It is not uncommon for dentists to proclaim this event as one of the most gratifying of their careers .
Of course this yearly mission is a tremendous way of helping others , and a dentist in Pennsylvania needs not to travel to another country to donate their skills to a great cause . Oral healthcare is a crisis in our country and will continue to be for years to come .
Although a big difference was made this year , help is always needed . Please join us for the next mission to be held in Reading on June 21-22 , 2024 . It is always nice to see the camaraderie among our colleagues and communities . Thank you so much for your support of this much needed work .
