MEET YOUR PDA PRESIDENT

Dr . Nancy R . Rosenthal

By Rob Pugliese , Director of Communications
Dr . Nancy Rosenthal ’ s brand of leadership is one built over time , not just with a sharp vision , but through commitment and action , not just setting the example , but actively finding ways to get others to join her .
As she leads PDA for this 2022-23 year , she is the third woman to become PDA president in our 154 years , joining Drs . Kay Thompson ( 1989-90 ) and Linda Himmelberger ( 2006-07 ).
Dr . Rosenthal ’ s focus on charitable efforts , service to others and developing future leaders for organized dentistry is always front and center , and she believes only with widespread collaboration can ideas take root and eventually allow an organization to flourish .
She has maintained a private practice in Jenkintown for the last 39 years . After receiving her undergraduate degree and Masters of Arts in Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh , Dr . Rosenthal earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Temple University in 1983 and opened her practice . During her career , she has been an adjunct professor and clinical instructor at both the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and Temple University ’ s Kornberg School of Dentistry .
