PDJ Selected for ICD Journalism Award Stout Inducted as New AAPD Trustee
The Pennsylvania Dental Journal
has been selected for the
International College of Dentists
Special Citation Division I Award
for our March/April 2018 issue,
the special issue commemorating
PDA’s 150 th Anniversary. PDA member Dr. Angela Stout has been inducted as the Northeastern
District Trustee of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD).
Dr. Stout, of Lafayette Hill, was inducted in Chicago on May 26.
This award is presented to a
publication for “unusual concept
and/or presentation.” PDJ Editor Dr. Stephen T. Radack III
will accept the ICD award during the 2019 Annual
Meeting of the American Association of Dental Editors &
Journalists on September 4 in San Francisco.
Dr. Stout is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at Temple’s
Kornberg School of Dentistry and the University of Pennsylvania School
of Dental Medicine. She has been training and lecturing on the Act 31
requirements throughout our state. Dr. Stout is a Diplomate of the
American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a Fellow in the American
College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists and the
American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Currently, she serves on the
Board of Trustees for Healthy Smiles, Healthy Children, the Foundation
of the AAPD, Men Anpil, a charitable organization supporting a dental
clinic in Haiti, and Second District Valley Forge Dental Association.
She is the President of the Northeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry,
Vice-President of the Pennsylvania Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and
Immediate Past President of the Montgomery Bucks Dental Society.
