Dr. Charles J. Incalcaterra

Dr. Charles Incalcaterra brings his passion, his
enthusiasm and his vast experience to each
day, and to every challenge. Perhaps most
importantly, he also brings a clear and realistic
vision of where he sees the Pennsylvania
Dental Association in the future.

Balancing what he sees as PDA’s great
strengths and advantages alongside the
elements that need to be transformed and
fortified for long-term success, Dr. Incalcaterra
became president on April 5 during
Pennsylvania’s Dental Meeting at the
Gettysburg Hotel. His presidency began
during a time of significant changes for the
organization, but his optimism abounds.
Dr. Incalcaterra received an undergraduate
degree in Biochemistry from Rutgers
University and his DMD from the University
of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey
(now Rutgers Dental School) in 1982. After a
one-year General Practice Residency (GPR)

program at Lehigh Valley Hospital in
Allentown, he joined the staff and was
appointed the GPR Program Director in 1994.
He also maintains his private practice in
Bethlehem.
Having been a member of PDA and ADA since
1982, Dr. Incalcaterra’s leadership in organized
dentistry began in 1993 when he first served
as a delegate to PDA’s Annual Session. He
served as president of the Lehigh Valley Dental
Association in 1995 and was a member of
PDA’s Government Relations Committee from
1997-2000. After a term as president of the
Second District Valley Forge Dental Association
in 2012-2013, he represented Second District
on the PDA Board of Trustees from 2015-2018
before becoming PDA president-elect.
At the national level, Dr. Incalcaterra has
served on ADA’s Council on Government
Affairs and is a Commission On Dental
Accreditation site visitor. He is a Fellow of the
