AQHA AMATEUR NON PRO DERBY
Lynda MacCallum showed the son of Dual Smart Rey( IS) and Winderadeen Catsaplayin, Catsasmart Q-77593 to win the Amateur Non Pro Derby after marking 217 points in the final. David Merygold rode Magicool Q-85057( Sophisticated Catt( IS) x Triple Spin) to earn the Reserve Championship with a 214.5 scoring run.
YULGILBAR QUARTER HORSE STUD NON PRO FUTURITY
Jacqueline Graham continued her incredibly successful showing at the NCHA Futurity Show by winning the Non Pro Futurity Champion Title with a 222 run aboard Tapt Choice Q-78441, a daughter of Tapt Dancin Cat( imp) and Roses By Choice. Earning the Reserve Champion title was Amelia Servin riding the daughter of EB S Phalaris and CTK Fancy That, Fancy Grass A3-769.
SHADOW TRAILERS AUSTRALIA OPEN DERBY
Winning the Open Derby Champion title with an exceptional 221 marking run was the daughter of Smooth As A Cat( IS) and Spinning Garter, Garter Cat, owned and shown by Corey Holden. Earning the Reserve Championship Title with a solid 215 marking run was Drumbeat( Oak And Ashes x Spins Good Thing), ridden by Jason Leitch for Kalilett Quarter Horses.
SDM QUARTER HORSES AMATEUR NON PRO CLASSIC CHALLENGE
Winning the Amateur Non Pro Classic Challenge Champion Title was Kimberly Pickersgill showing Secret Spot Q-717476( Peptos Gotta Secret( imp) x SB Night Owl Lil) after marking the highest score in the final of 215 points. Jamie Everingham rode Sophisticated Doll Q-74770( Sophisticated Catt( IS) x Stylish Doll) to earn the Reserve Championship with 213 points. Finishing in 3rd place with 211 points was Natascha Wrigley showing Cherrys Duplicatt Q-70615, a son of Sophisticated Catt( IS) and Spins Cherry Oak.
ARIAT GOLD CUP OPEN
After a blistering 226.5 run Desires Blue Trinity Q-81553( Mecom Blue x Desires Smart Lena), shown by Heath Sinclair for Kempsey Quarter Horses, took out the top honours in the Open Gold Cup. Marking a super impressive 221.5 points to earn the Reserve Championship was Diane Brombal ' s exciting Winderadeen Ms Shorty Cat with Todd Graham in the saddle. With a scoring run of 221 points 3rd place was awarded to Sorta Smooth with Scott W. Campbell in the saddle.
TIM MITCHELL MEMORIAL JUNIOR YOUTH
Winning the Junior Youth Cutting, with an exciting 217 marking run, was Bree Smith showing Striking Distance Q-31360. Bree then went on to earn the Reserve Championship with 215 points aboard Sweet Smokin Hootch Q-55028.
TIM MITCHELL MEMORIAL SENIOR YOUTH
Winning the Senior Youth Cutting, with a super impressive 222 run, was Jasmine Shumack showing her family ' s Eyebrows Cat. Earning the Reserve Championship with 218 points was Ben Hinman riding Turpentine Reyn.
TWO BOB SADDLERY / JEFF SMITH CUSTOM SADDLES NON PRO DERBY
Phil Conaghan rode Jagur to earn the Non Pro Derby Champion Title with a great 220 run in the final. Trudy Holden earned the Reserve Championship with a 214.5 marking run aboard Garter Cat. Kim Campbell showed His Stargun Is Hot to earn third place with 212 points.
MARSH CARNEY SADDLERY NON PRO CLASSIC CHALLENGE
Peter Shumack marked a massive 222.5 run aboard Fair Lady Flash to be named as the 2017 Non Pro Classic Challenge Champion. Earning the Reserve Champion Title with 222 points was Phil Conaghan showing Suicide Blonde. Jamie Everingham marked 217 points aboard Sophisticated Doll to earn 3rd place.
2017 NCHA BAYER E-MOX PRO & SDP BUFFALO RANCH OPEN FUTURITY
A field of 22 brilliant three year old cutting horses progressed to the 2017 NCHA Bayer E-Mox Pro & SDP Buffalo Ranch Open Futurity final. The crowd witnessing this exciting final saw two incredibly skillful horses named as the Co-Champions,
Dee Bar Isa Catty Blue and TP Dancin In The Reyn Q-79641 after they both marked 218 points each.
The 2013 bay daughter of Catty Hawk( IS) and Dee Bar Isa Blue, Dee Bar Isa Catty Blue, bred by Wayne and Chris Baumann, was shown to perfection by Steve Byrne for Lazy K Quarter Horses and TP Dancin In The Reyn, a daughter of Tapt Dancin Cat( imp) and Turpentine Storm, was ridden by Jamie Creek for Dianne Bennett.
Finishing 3rd with 217.5 points was the daughter of Tassa Lena( imp) and Doubledosa Cool, Madam Tassard Q-80669, shown by Trent Smith for Shiralee Unger.
The 2017 NCHA Bayer E-Mox Pro and SDP Buffalo Ranch Futurity was a tremendous success, with action packed cutting horse action throughout the entire event. The cutting horses showcased the day to day work that goes into breeding, training, owning and showing these magnificent Australian Quarter Horses.
