APARTMENTALIZE 2026 application fraud a third-degree felony, a meaningful win for operators tired of being on the wrong end of misrepresentation. The Texas Apartment Association was equally active, bringing forward additional bills to combat fraud and other operational challenges facing housing providers.
These aren’ t just victories for Florida and Texas, they’ re a blueprint for what coordinated advocacy can accomplish, and a signal to all of us about what’ s possible when our industry shows up unified.
RPM Careers Committee
The RPM Careers Committee continues its mission to bring new talent into our industry, and this year that work felt more urgent than ever. Workforce pipeline remains one of the most underrated operational risks in multifamily, and it was good to see dedicated energy going toward recruitment strategies, career pathways, and industry storytelling for the next generation.
Operations Committee
The Operations Committee is in full swing modernizing how NAA delivers value to its members. The focus on white papers, a website revamp, and expanded podcast and webinar offerings reflects a real commitment to meeting members where they are, with timely, accessible content rather than information that sits in a binder somewhere.
The Expo Floor: AI Is Here
The NAA Exposition was buzzing. With hundreds of vendors showcasing the latest products and solutions, one theme was impossible to ignore: artificial intelligence is no longer a future conversation. It was front and center across the floor, from leasing automation to maintenance workflows to revenue management.
The real question isn’ t whether AI will reshape multifamily operations; it’ s how quickly owners and management companies will integrate these tools thoughtfully and effectively. That’ s a conversation AAMD members will want to be ahead of.
Leadership, Learning, and Looking Ahead
The general sessions were another highlight of the conference. Hearing from Nicole Kidman, Daymond John, and Nick Saban— each bringing a distinct perspective on resilience, entrepreneurship, and leadership— made for a closing stretch that was as inspiring as it was entertaining. Saban ' s session, in particular, drew a packed house and a well-deserved standing ovation.
Apartmentalize continues to be a reminder of why this industry is worth investing in and why showing up at the national level matters. The legislative wins being celebrated in other states are the result of years of relationshipbuilding and advocacy groundwork. The workforce conversations happening in committee rooms translate directly into the talent we recruit here in Colorado. And the technology showcased across the expo floor will soon become the baseline expectation of owners, operators, and residents alike.
For AAMD members, the message is clear: the future of multifamily is being shaped today through advocacy, innovation, workforce development, and collaboration. If Apartmentalize isn ' t already on your calendar for 2027 in Denver, it should be.
