• The Clinton County SPCA is open to the public for adoptions, at 33 Mill Hill Road in Lock Haven. We will be holding our Furry 5K and 1 Mile Dog Jog on Saturday, August 1st, at the Castanea Fire Company Picnic Grounds. The 5K Race starts at 9am, the 1 Mile Dog Jog / Walk at 10:30am. Register online at: runsignup. com. Forms are also available at the CC SPCA. Vaccinated dogs are recommended for this pet-friendly event. Register by July 1st for a free race shirt. 5K registration is $ 30. 1 Mile Dog Jog is $ 25. Kids 10 and under free with a registered adult. • The Lycoming County SPCA is open for pet adoptions by appointment. A Low-Cost Vaccine & Microchip Clinic will be held on Saturday, August 8th, from 11am- 3pm. Appointments necessary. There is a $ 10 non-refundable deposit required to hold slot. Vaccines offered- Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, plus topical flea treatment. A Foster Kitten Adoption Event will take place on Saturday, August 22nd – 11am – 4 pm at the shelter, 2805 Reach Road in Williamsport. Meet some of our adoptable kittens and cats from foster homes that are not typically available for viewing at the shelter. Approved adoption applications are required. • Centre County PAWS in State College is open to the public for pet adoptions. We will be holding our 6th Annual PAWS Patio Party, Saturday, August 29, at 5:30pm.
