• The ice cream cone was popularized at the 1904 World’ s Fair in St. Louis, when an ice cream vendor ran out of bowls and teamed up with a nearby waffle vendor to make edible containers.
• Vanilla still reigns as the most popular ice cream flavor in the world, even though chocolate and cookies & cream give it a run for its money.
• Ice cream-like desserts date back to ancient China around 200 BC, where people mixed milk and rice and froze it in snow.
• Brain freeze- the jolt of head pain from eating ice cream too fast is called sphenopalatine ganglioneuralgia. It happens when something cold touches the roof of your mouth and causes blood vessels to rapidly constrict and then expand.
