Graduation Ceremonies Celebrate Achievements and Beginnings
A sense of anticipation filled the air at Don Malinak Stadium as CMHS hosted its graduation ceremony . Families , faculty , and friends gathered to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the graduating seniors . Principal Nick Verrelli set a poignant tone with his heartfelt address , commending the seniors for their dedication and resilience throughout their high school journey . His words resonated deeply as he encouraged them to embrace every opportunity that comes their way , urging them to embark on journeys that enrich their lives and the lives of others .
Class President Colby Bakaj infused his speech with nostalgia , reminiscing about the cherished moments shared with classmates and teachers . Despite the bittersweet farewells , Bakaj conveyed a sense of excitement for the adventures that lie ahead , emphasizing the importance of pursuing one ' s passions wholeheartedly . Valedictorian Halle Lodek took to the stage with gratitude , expressing heartfelt appreciation for the mentors and loved ones who supported the seniors along their educational odyssey . Her message of resilience and determination struck a chord , inspiring her peers to embrace the unknown with courage and enthusiasm . Following Lodek ' s address , Salutatorian Sofia Dressler captivated the audience with her reflections on the surreal experience of graduating . Musical performances by talented seniors Maia Crowell , Sofia Dressler , Ashton Brickley , Kyle Haigh , Annalise Mann , Elaina Packer , Emily Shetler , and Gregory Stuber added a melodious touch to the ceremony , captivating the audience with their exceptional talents .
Superintendent Dr . Francis Redmon took the stage to express gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the graduating class .
