Cummins Equipment Company Inc ., located at 717 White Horse Pike , supplies equipment to farmer , contractors , landscapers and more . Three of their main brands are Kubota , Red Max and Echo , according to Cummins General Manager Ed Bober .

Bober said he had an established reputation with the previous dealership that once occupied the location , and that has helped him as he continues relationships with customers at Cummins .

“ Being here with the previous dealership

and now with Cummins definitely helps ,” Bober said .

He said it has a been a busy spring and summer .

“ Landscapers are buying a lot of handheld

Red Max and Echo weed whackers and blowers . We are stocked up on those two items . And they ’ re buying a lot of mowers ,” Bober said .

On the commercial side , Kubota equipment , like skid steerers and excavators

are being purchased , according to Bober .

“ People are still busy in the commercial business . We are a little slow on the residential side . People are holding off on buying that small tractor right now ,” he said .

Carrying name brands people trust is an asset for Cummins Equipment Company .

“ The five , six brands we have are reliable , well-known brands . They are trusted names in the industry with great warranties ,” Bober said .

In addition , people who purchase equipment made by these companies will also be able to purchase parts when they

need them , Bober said .

“ These big companies are good with parts availability . And I think people like that ,” Bober said .

One of the areas that has grown in recent years is the sale of picking machines , Bober said . Cummins carries the OXBO line of picking machines .

“ We supply our local farmers . The OXBO business was great . Machine blueberry harvest was a huge success this year and we ’ re taking pre-orders for the next year ,” Bober said .
