Our Employee Spotlight is shining on one of the Club ’ s newest employees , Jimmie Murphy . Jimmie has been with the Club for just a few weeks now as the Director of Agronomy . He was raised in Kentucky and has been an Ocala resident for 25 years . He is in the process of relocating to Highlands County with his high school sweetheart , Paige who he has been married to for 29 years ! Jimmie has over 30 years of experience in the golf industry including Director of Golf , General Manager and VP of Agronomy for 30 + golf courses . He has also built and helped design four golf courses .
In his spare time , Jimmie enjoys competitive bass fishing and golfing . He started playing golf at age 18 and his favorite course is TPC of Sawgrass located in Ponte Vedra Beach , Florida . Jimmie has had the luxury of playing many top 100 golf courses throughout the country . His best round is a 68 which he has shot a few times . We are happy to welcome Jimmie to our team and wish him the best of luck in his new chapter at Sun ‘ N Lake Golf Club !
