Michelle Hood
Michelle Hood has been in our Adult Tee It Up program for 2 years now . She shows the kind of passion for the game that makes a Coach like me realize why I love what I do and love this game . She attends practice sessions and play w / the pro sessions regularly .
Let ’ s get to know Michelle Hood with our Golf & Fun Spotlight Questions :
When did you start playing golf ? August 2019 .
What or who got you interested in golf ? My husband played golf occasionally and I enjoyed watching golf on Sundays , so I thought it might be fun to learn .
What is your favorite course ? Dubsdread and Winter Park 9 are probably tied for my favorites . I love them both .
What is your current focus in your golf game ( what are you trying to improve right now )? Currently I ’ m working on my pitch shots ... being able to hit a short shot over a bunker . I usually hit it way too far or not high enough to go over , so I ’ ve been practicing trying to improve ..
What do you love about golf ? As someone who works inside all day , I really enjoy being outside in a beautiful environment meeting new people and playing a game that is challenging yet lots of fun .
Favorite club in your bag ? 7 iron - I find it to be my most versatile club .
Which kind of shot makes you the most nervous or is the most difficult on the course ? Hitting a tee shot over the water . The water gets to my head every time .
What ’ s your favorite color ? Aqua - reminds me of a beautiful beach
What ’ s your favorite food ? Turtle soup - Yum !
Who is your favorite PGA or LPGA player ? Tony Finau for PGA and Inbee Park for LPGA
When you ’ re not playing or practicing golf , what is your favorite thing to do ? Spending time relaxing and hanging out with friends and family over a delicious meal .
