The Professional Leadership Studies program is designed specifically for individuals
who want to advance into, or thrive within, leadership positions and administrative roles.
Students will develop policies and plans to solve tough problems, manage and evaluate
diverse projects, learn the practices to enhance their own as well as the leadership
skills of others, and gain the tactical abilities (writing, budgeting and finance, and
presenting) to excel in all aspects of leadership and administration.
By engaging with faculty and industry leaders, students will learn:
• Leadership theories and practices.
• Project management skills for professional leaders.
• Policy development practices across professional sectors.
• How to critically analyze digital media and technology for the workplace.
• Effective communication for organizational and community leaders.
• Training skills to facilitate the leadership development of others.
