NEW: MASC’s Online Programming! a v a i l a b l e s u b s i d i e s As our program is rapidly developing, more artists, workshops and performances are regularly added to the list. Please visit www.masconline.ca for updates. “MASC is embarking on a new journey and is pleased to present its new Online Program offered to schools, senior’s venues and communities. Now, more than ever, we need access to cultural and artistic experiences to enrich our lives in meaningful ways and incite creativity, while preserving both, health and social distancing. Our new reality demands the adaptation and integration of new technologies in the cultural and educational sector, and MASC is excited to contribute to the development of this new field. Twin Flames INDIGENOUS FOLK MUSIC We are offering interactive live performances and workshops in all artistic disciplines: dance, drama, music, media, literary and visual arts. We’ve been busy with exciting online projects such as collective poetry writing with grade 4-8’s, a dance series for seniors, and murals that will be installed permanently in the community that are being cocreated by residents who each have a piece of the mural-puzzle! We’ve already had wonderful feedback, such as this note from Wenna Doig at Agincourt PS about a recent workshop with Jamaal Jackson Rogers: ”Several students have been less engaged in school lately, but were really happy to come out and work on something they are passionate about. Jamaal is very good at meeting kids and harnessing their curiosity and drive.” Wenna Doig Agincourt Public School Tina Le Moine Suzan Richards Eleanor Crowder Amanda West ANIMATION WORKSHOPS Ottawa Children’s Theatre DRAMA WORKSHOPS AFRO-CARIBBEAN DANCE Kathryn Patricia VISUAL ARTS & MUSIC ILLUSTRATION & POETRY Skeleton Key Theatre Lewis LITERARY WORKSHOPS Brad Lafortune THEATRE WORKSHOPS MÉTIS JIGGING Claudia Salguero Jennifer Cayley Chris McKhool INDOOR MINI MURAL STORYTELLING PERFORMANCE Sonia St-Michel MUSIC PERFORMANCE Just Jamaal the Poet POETRY & SONGWRITING INDIAN DANSE 3
